Biopsy Results

I want to send you news of the results of the latest round of Biopsies I have had. Today I met with the Consultant Oncologist who is looking after my case of NH Lymphoma.
The result was as follows:
1. Bone marrow biopsy was normal, somewhat affected by the Chemotherapy but as far as he is concerned normal. The same goes for the bone biopsy.

2. Biopsy of a lymph node shows that the lymphoma remains the same and has not progressed to ‘aggressive’
The 6 cycles of RFC chemo has greatly reduced the size of all lymph nodes so much that they are hard to find or see, (unless you are a Dr or have a CT scan.

3. Blood tests normal, white blood count normal and the neutrafils normal, platelets a little low but to be expect after the chemo I have had, (but they are getting better).
My general health is good, I am not losing weight or getting infections

The outcome is that they are going to wait until the end of April to review the possibility of having a stem cell transplant which would really help fight the lymphoma. So I am planning to visit my other home for a while in Cebu and return to the UK later in April.

Thank you for you prayers and best wishes. We will see this through and will not accept defeat.

When I get back from Cebu the Doctors want to perform Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, I have had a lot of problems with my sinuses so the Doctor wants to check to find out why they are so badly infected.

Looked at the latest blog. A little belated, but still, that is great news. I know that I said that before but it is always great to know that prayers are answered.
